The Author

My name is Michael Buban and I work as a versatile assistant and teacher at the School of Missions and Theology. I have a beautiful wife, two boys and a wonderful life. I am a Christian. I believe that when the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, he has won over the evil in you and me and in this world.

My lifelong project is to read the Bible and to think about faith as hard as possible. “Selah” is this project’s log. It was named after the Hebrew word sęlâ, which in ancient Israel had a liturgical function. It means something like “stop, listen and take it seriously” (see an explanation).

I urge you to pour out your burdened hearts to my e-mail address: michael (a) or in the comments under individual posts.
