CSP | NRSV | NA | VUL |

Nyní tedy žádného odsouzení pro ty, v Kristu Ježíši . | 1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. | 1 Οὐδὲν ἄρα νῦν κατάκριμα τοῖς ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ· | 1 nihil ergo nunc damnationis est his qui sunt in Christo Iesu qui non secundum carnem ambulant |
Vždyť zákon Ducha života v Kristu Ježíši mě osvobodil od zákona hříchu a smrti. | 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. | 2 lex enim Spiritus vitae in Christo Iesu liberavit me a lege peccati et mortis |
Neboť co Zákonu nemožné, protože byl bezmocný kvůli tělu, Bůh, když poslal svého Syna v podobnosti těla hříchu a za hřích a odsoudil hřích v těle, | 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do: by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and to deal with sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, | 3 τὸ γὰρ ἀδύνατον τοῦ νόμου, ἐν ᾧ ἠσθένει διὰ τῆς σαρκός, ὁ θεὸς τὸν ἑαυτοῦ υἱὸν πέμψας ἐν ὁμοιώματι σαρκὸς ἁμαρτίας καὶ περὶ ἁμαρτίας κατέκρινεν τὴν ἁμαρτίαν ἐν τῇ σαρκί, | 3 nam quod inpossibile erat legis in quo infirmabatur per carnem Deus Filium suum mittens in similitudinem carnis peccati et de peccato damnavit peccatum in carne |
| 4 so that the just requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
| 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
Myšlení těla smrt, myšlení Ducha život a pokoj. | 6 To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Myšlení těla totiž v nepřátelství vůči Bohu, neboť se nepodřizuje Božímu zákonu, ba ani nemůže. | 7 For this reason the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law-- indeed it cannot, | 7 διότι τὸ φρόνημα τῆς σαρκὸς ἔχθρα εἰς θεόν, τῷ γὰρ νόμῳ τοῦ θεοῦ οὐχ ὑποτάσσεται, οὐδὲ γὰρ δύναται· | 7 quoniam sapientia carnis inimicitia est in Deum legi enim Dei non subicitur nec enim potest |
| 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
| 9 But you are not in the flesh; you are in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

| 10 But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
| 11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you. | 11 quod si Spiritus eius qui suscitavit Iesum a mortuis habitat in vobis qui suscitavit Iesum Christum a mortuis vivificabit et mortalia corpora vestra propter inhabitantem Spiritum eius in vobis |
Nuže tedy, bratři, jsme dlužníky, ne těla, abychom podle těla žili. | 12 So then, brothers and sisters, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-- | 12 Ἄρα οὖν, ἀδελφοί, ὀφειλέται ἐσμέν, οὐ τῇ σαρκὶ τοῦ κατὰ σάρκα ζῆν· | 12 ergo fratres debitores sumus non carni ut secundum carnem vivamus |
| 13 for if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
| 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
| 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, "Abba! Father!" | 15 οὐ γὰρ ἐλάβετε πνεῦμα δουλείας πάλιν εἰς φόβον, ἀλλὰ ἐλάβετε πνεῦμα υἱοθεσίας, ἐν ᾧ κράζομεν, Αββα ὁ πατήρ· | 15 non enim accepistis spiritum servitutis iterum in timore sed accepistis Spiritum adoptionis filiorum in quo clamamus Abba Pater |
Sám ten Duch svědčí spolu s naším duchem, že jsme děti Boží. | 16 it is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, | 16 αὐτὸ τὸ πνεῦμα συμμαρτυρεῖ τῷ πνεύματι ἡμῶν ὅτι ἐσμὲν τέκνα θεοῦ. | 16 ipse Spiritus testimonium reddit spiritui nostro quod sumus filii Dei |

| 17 and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ-- if, in fact, we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
| 18 I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us.
Vždyť tvorstvo toužebně vyhlíží očekává zjevení Božích synů – | 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God; | 19 ἡ γὰρ ἀποκαραδοκία τῆς κτίσεως τὴν ἀποκάλυψιν τῶν υἱῶν τοῦ θεοῦ ἀπεκδέχεται· | 19 nam expectatio creaturae revelationem filiorum Dei expectat |
neboť tvorstvo bylo poddáno marnosti; ne dobrovolně, ale kvůli tomu, který poddal – a má naději, | 20 for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope | 20 τῇ γὰρ ματαιότητι ἡ κτίσις ὑπετάγη, οὐχ ἑκοῦσα ἀλλὰ διὰ τὸν ὑποτάξαντα, ἐφ' ἑλπίδι | 20 vanitati enim creatura subiecta est non volens sed propter eum qui subiecit in spem |
že i ono samo bude vysvobozeno z otroctví zániku do slavné svobody Božích dětí. | 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. | 21 quia et ipsa creatura liberabitur a servitute corruptionis in libertatem gloriae filiorum Dei |
Víme přece, že celé tvorstvo až dodnes společně sténá a pracuje k porodu. | 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning in labor pains until now; | 22 οἴδαμεν γὰρ ὅτι πᾶσα ἡ κτίσις συστενάζει καὶ συνωδίνει ἄχρι τοῦ νῦν· | 22 scimus enim quod omnis creatura ingemescit et parturit usque adhuc |
A nejen , ale i my, kteří máme prvotiny Ducha, sami v sobě sténáme, očekávajíce synovství, vykoupení svého těla. | 23 and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.
Kdo něco vidí, proč by ještě doufal? | 24 For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what is seen?
Ale doufáme-li co nevidíme, očekáváme s vytrvalostí. | 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
| 26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.
| 27 And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
| 28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn within a large family.
| 30 And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified.
| 31 What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
Jak by nám spolu s ním nedaroval všechno? | 32 He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
Kdo bude žalovat na Boží vyvolené? Bůh ten, kdo ospravedlňuje! | 33 Who will bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.
| 34 Who is to condemn? It is Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us.
| 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? | 35 τίς ἡμᾶς χωρίσει ἀπὸ τῆς ἀγάπης τοῦ Χριστοῦ; θλῖψις ἢ στενοχωρία ἢ διωγμὸς ἢ λιμὸς ἢ γυμνότης ἢ κίνδυνος ἢ μάχαιρα; | 35 quis nos separabit a caritate Christi tribulatio an angustia an persecutio an fames an nuditas an periculum an gladius |
Jak je napsáno: ‚Celý den jsme pro tebe vydáváni na smrt, pokládají nás za ovce na porážku.‘ | 36 As it is written, "For your sake we are being killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep to be slaughtered."
| 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. | 37 sed in his omnibus superamus propter eum qui dilexit nos |
Jsem přesvědčen, že ani smrt ani život, ani andělé ani mocnosti, ani přítomnost ani budoucnost, ani moci, | 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, | 38 πέπεισμαι γὰρ ὅτι οὔτε θάνατος οὔτε ζωὴ οὔτε ἄγγελοι οὔτε ἀρχαὶ οὔτε ἐνεστῶτα οὔτε μέλλοντα οὔτε δυνάμεις | 38 certus sum enim quia neque mors neque vita neque angeli neque principatus neque instantia neque futura neque fortitudines |
ani výšina ani hlubina, ani žádné jiné stvoření nás nebude moci odloučit od Boží lásky, která v Kristu Ježíši, našem Pánu. | 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
