| Anomaly of the non-ergodicity parameter and crossover to white noise in the fast relaxation spectrum of a simple glass former | We present quasi-elastic light scattering (LS) and dielectric (DS) spectra of the glass former alpha-picoline (13K < T < 320K). At high temperatures the evolution of the susceptibility minimum is well described by mode coupling theory (MCT) yielding a critical temperature T_c = 162K +- 5K. At T_c > T > T_g the excess wing of the alpha-process identified in the DS spectra and characterized by a power-law exponent c is rediscovered in the LS spectra. Introducing a universal evolution for c = c[lg(tau_{alpha})] as suggested by DS data of several glass formers, the fast dynamics spectrum is singled out, allowing to determine the non-ergodicity parameter f(T). The latter shows the predicted cusp-like anomaly identifying T_c as well. Another discontinuous change of f(T) is observed at T_g. The fast dynamics spectra exhibit a crossover to ``white noise'' (T < T_c). "snip" the portion of the model where you see I cut it off in my picture. you can try leaving it in place if you wish but its hard to get the adapter in with that wall intact. I left it intact for the print to retain the no support printing so think of it as built in support. it works VERY well. as long as you keep your finger BELOW the 45 bevel on the hand grip you can back tilt the osmo 45' and your finger/grip won't come into the camera view. I love it. its SO easy to hold and use now that I am also releasing a grip for the Moto Z2 "alone" to make it into a stand alone camera (since its camera's are pretty darned good as well) stay tuned for that. | DTIC AD1045104: Effects of Burn Injuries on Thermoregulatory and Cardiovascular Responses in Soldiers: Implications for the Standards of Medical Fitness | The aim of this study was to investigate whether the absolute effective body surface area (BSA) or the %BSA burned best predicts the core temperature response to exercise in the heat. Sixteen healthy non-burned individuals [8 large (LG) and 8 small (SM)] were recruited. On separate occasions, subjects cycled at 100 W for 1 h in a 39C, 20% relative humidity environment with a simulated burn injury of 0% or 40% total BSA. A simulated 40% burn injury reduced the effective BSA to1.350.05 m2 and 1.010.07 m2 in LG and SM groups, respectively. Greater elevations in core temperature were observed in SM, irrespective of condition. For both groups, the elevation in core temperature was exacerbated by the 40% simulated burn(P0.01), yet the magnitude of the increase in core temperature from 0% to 40% simulated burn was not different between groups (P=0.37). | The Recent Star Formation Histories of M81 Group Dwarf Irregular Galaxies | We present observations and analysis of nine dwarf irregular galaxies (dIs) in the M81 Group taken with the Advanced Camera for Surveys aboard the Hubble Space Telescope. The nine galaxy sample (the Garland, M81 Dwarf A, DDO 53, Ho IX, Ho I, DDO 165, NGC 2366, Ho II, and IC 2574) spans 6 magnitudes in luminosity, a factor of 1000 in current star formation rate, and 0.5 dex in metallicity. Here we use color-magnitude diagrams of resolved stellar populations to study the star formation histories (SFHs) of these galaxies. We divide the sample into faint and bright galaxies, with a dividing line of M_${B}$ = -15, and then analyze the similarities and differences in the SFHs, birthrate parameters, fraction of stars formed per time interval, and spatial distribution of stellar components. Comparing these parameters as a function of luminosity, we find only minor differences in SF characteristics.
