| Lineage-specific distribution of high levels of genomic 5-hydroxymethylcytosine in mammalian development. | This article is from Cell Research , volume 21 . Abstract Methylation of cytosine is a DNA modification associated with gene repression. Recently, a novel cytosine modification, 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5-hmC) has been discovered. Here we examine 5-hmC distribution during mammalian development and in cellular systems, and show that the developmental dynamics of 5-hmC are different from those of 5-methylcytosine (5-mC); in particular 5-hmC is enriched in embryonic contexts compared to adult tissues. A detectable 5-hmC signal appears in pre-implantation development starting at the zygote stage, where the paternal genome is subjected to a genome-wide hydroxylation of 5-mC, which precisely coincides with the loss of the 5-mC signal in the paternal pronucleus. Levels of 5-hmC are high in cells of the inner cell mass in blastocysts, and the modification colocalises with nestin-expressing cell populations in mouse post-implantation embryos. Compared to other adult mammalian organs, 5-hmC is s; | 2011 | 2014-10-28T12:22:17Z |
| Bis{2-[(pyridin-2-yl)methyl-idene-amino]-benzoato-?3N,N?,O}chromium(III) nitrate monohydrate. | This article is from Acta Crystallographica Section E: Structure Reports Online , volume 70 . Abstract The title complex salt hydrate, [Cr(C13H9N2O2)2]NO3·H2O, comprises discrete cations, nitrate anions and solvent water molecules. The CrIII atom is octahedrally coordinated by two anionic Schiff base ligands with the O atoms being cis. The two ligands differ significantly with dihedral angles between the pyridine and benzene rings of 4.8 (2) and 24.9 (2)°. The nitrate anion and solvent water molecule were modelled as being disordered, with the major components having site-occupancy values of 0.856 (14) and 0.727 (16), respectively. The crystal is built of alternating layers of cations and of anions plus water molecules, stacked along the c axis. | 2014 | 2014-10-22T18:59:42Z |
| The effect of certification and accreditation on quality management in 4 clinical services in 73 European hospitals. | This article is from International Journal for Quality in Health Care , volume 26 . Abstract Objective: To investigate the relationship between ISO 9001 certification, healthcare accreditation and quality management in European hospitals. Design: A mixed method multi-level cross-sectional design in seven countries. External teams assessed clinical services on the use of quality management systems, illustrated by four clinical pathways. Setting and Participants: Seventy-three acute care hospitals with a total of 291 services managing acute myocardial infarction (AMI), hip fracture, stroke and obstetric deliveries, in Czech Republic, France, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Turkey. Main Outcome Measure: Four composite measures of quality and safety [specialized expertise and responsibility (SER), evidence-based organization of pathways (EBOP), patient safety strategies (PSS) and clinical review (CR)] applied to four pathways. Results: Accreditation in isolation showed benefits in AMI; | 2014 | 2014-10-23T05:35:44Z |
| The antiretroviral agent saquinavir enhances hTERT expression and telomerase activity in human T leukaemia cells in vitro. | This article is from Journal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research : CR , volume 32 . Abstract Background: Saquinavir, a protease inhibitor utilized in HIV infection, shows antitumor activity in various experimental models. In previous studies performed in our laboratory the drug was found to induce a substantial increase of telomerase activity in normal peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Aim of the present investigation was to test whether saquinavir was able to increase telomerase activity and the expression of the catalytic subunit of telomerase, hTERT, in human malignant hematopoietic cells. Methods: Human Jurkat CD4+ T cell leukaemia cell line was used throughout the present study. The antiproliferative effect of saquinavir was tested by the MTT assay. Telomerase activity was determined according to the telomeric repeat amplification protocol. The expression of hTERT mRNA was semi-quantitative evaluated by RT-PCR amplification and quantitative Real Time PCR. The binding of t; | 2013 | 2014-10-25T02:10:23Z |

| Development of a reliable and valid accuracy-based Pavlovian conditioning task for categorization of sign/goal-trackers | The purpose of this study is to develop a reliable, valid, and practical Pavlovian conditioning task for clinical use to classify sign- and goal-trackers. This newly developed Pavlovian conditioning task must have sufficient reliability and validity, which is crucial for clinical purposes. The categorization results of the newly developed Pavlovian conditioning task should be correlated with the Pavlovian conditioning task based on the eye movements (EM) used in previous studies (e.g., Garofalo & di Pellegrino, 2015; Schad et al., 2020), indicating a criterion-related validity. The eye tracker is difficult to be used in a non-laboratory setting (e.g., it requires much time setting up an eye tracker, but the patients usually do not have time and patience). Instead, button pressing may be more come-in-handy in a clinical setting. The sign-trackers from the newly developed Pavlovian conditioning task are likely to be more impulsive than the goal-trackers, showing a construct validity. The; | 2023 | 2023-07-15T06:02:28Z |

| LED bar for Creality CR-10S (3858448) | I used the same models for the LED cover and mount for my CR-10 S4 and S5 simply by adjusting the scaling in the desired direction (along the length of the bar to match the desired length (i had to subtract the length of the connector cover). This makes the screw holes on the mount oval shaped, but once you add washers and screws and tighten it down to the frame, the enlarged holes aren't an issue. S3: 25cm long S4: 30 cm long S5: 42 cm long Here's what you need to make your own: -Print off the two STL files provided. The LED cover was made to be printed at a 0.2mm layer height. ***NOTE*** The overall combined length of the LED Connector cover and the cover is 25 cm for the base model. The naming might lend you to believe that the cover itself is 25 cm, but the two are made to fit end to end and are a combined 25cm. -Print off this very cleverly designed mount (Thanks for sharing b03tz!): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2843893/files -12V Power Supply: https://www.amazon.com/gp/produ; | 2019 | 2021-03-25T04:04:58Z |

If the term is strange it is a comparatively new but worldwide complaint. It means simply an excess of informa-? tion, from numbers, tables, equations, books, magazines and newspapers to miles of computer tape. Some 35,000 recognized scientific and engineering journals published about a million research papers last year. The Commerce Department estimates 200,000 of these contained data which must be referred to again and again. A scientist setting forth to find information in the growing maze simply doesn't know where to begin. It imposes immediate pressure on the Brigades to attempt another specta- cular incident to regain credibility. The manhunt for Dozier has damaged the operational abilities of some of the columns: the Rome and Veneto columns, which were hit hardest, may not be capable of carrying out a major operation anytime soon. The Dozier incident may deepen ideological fissures between factions of the Brigades, strengthening the position of those advocating attacks on traditional Brigades' targets, including Italians involved in the commercial, industrial or legal sectors.
