This missile was designed by the Grushin Design Bureau, was transportable on a large truck, had an effective altitude of about 190 kilometers, and had terminal homing guidance. The plant planned to manufacture about 40 missiles a year, but because of manufacturing problems, only finished four or five during 1967-69. Shortly after 1969, the plant expected to begin manufacturing a modified model with the designation 5V63 and with an altitude of 200-220 kilometers.
